I guess this is as a good place as any to put this. Thus far, not naming names.
I worked in a field which was mainly comprised of women. I took care of and taught people with developmental disabilities. It was common, in the field and at staff meetings, for women to make derogatory, disparaging, and generalizing remarks about men; hateful. Being one of the few men present, you end up feeling singled out.
It's a bit like a black man being at a Klan meeting and continuously hearing the N-Word, and what those N-words do, and so on. Or being a woman in a room full of women-hating half-wits that want women to cook, clean, and be quiet.
Actually, I've been in that spot too: The only minority in a situation, and hearing the racial jokes, the slurs, the various other forms of stupidity. So, I hope you get the idea.
Management and staff at work, neither one were immune to spewing this vehemence. I was getting stung. And quite tired.
I imagine some would want to know what brought it on. Kind of like how some think short skirts cause women to get attacked.
So, no amount of arguing with me would ever deter me from seeing the stupidity and hate of the people I used to work around.
But I knew it in my family before I went to work; I was raised by my mother and sister, and they were also bullies that imposed their biased viewpoint and bigoted philosophy.
At the risk of sounding like a bitter rant, I'll at least make this point.
Just don't do it. To anybody.
